My Story
After serving in the world’s greatest Air Force for 16 years, I received the opportunity of a lifetime to push the retirement button four years early. If that isn’t the career pivot of career pivots, I don’t know what is.
After completing a mandatory Transition Assistance Program, I was thrown into the civilian world with a resume that now makes me cringe, and the belief that Corporate America was just waiting to hire a veteran like me with all my marketable skills.
Boy was I WRONG!
For the latter part of my career, I was an Air Force Recruiter. An actual recruiter. An award-winning recruiter. Did I tell you I was a recruiter? Naturally I applied for recruiting jobs, multiple jobs and got ZERO callbacks for weeks.
At the time, I could not understand why no one saw that I was clearly qualified for recruiting positions. But now I do.
For the last 8 years, I have had a backstage pass to the internal hiring process and now I’m here to share all that knowledge with you.
